Boca Raton, a city in Palm Beach County, Florida, was first settled in 1895 and was incorporated into a town in May, 1925. The 2013 census had a total population of 89,407. Many of the residents are full time; however Boca Raton does have a large number of part time residents. Boca Raton is the largest city between West Palm Beach and Pompano Beach in Broward County. The Sanctuary of Boca Raton is a short drive to the Town Center Mall, with such big name stores as Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Tiffany, Nordstrom, plus many other exclusive shops. It has become a tourist attraction, and is the largest indoor mall in Palm Beach County. Also nearby is Mizner Park, with many highly rated restaurants, boutique stores, as well as their new Lord & Taylor. Mizner Park also hosts several community, arts, and cultural events during the year, and is home to the Boca Raton Museum of Art.

The Sanctuary is only 1/2 a mile from the beach, just a 10 minute walk.  Boca Raton is known for its 2 mile stretch of protected beaches. Boca Raton is home to many top rated private and public schools and universities. Florida Atlantic University has its main campus in Boca Raton as well as Lynn University and Palm Beach State College. Many elementary and high schools are located in Boca Raton such as American Heritage School, Pine Crest Academy, St. Andrews School, Boca Raton Christian, Addison Mizner Elementary and Del Prado Elementary. Boca Raton also is home to Spanish River High School and Boca Raton High School.
